Entry fees are $69 for the full weekend of events, and space is limited, to register, go to: www.appughlachian.com. Active members of the local State of Franklin Track Club receive a registration discount when entering code SFTC.

Adam Parks, race director for the series, explains, “The App(ugh)lachian Race Series was born out of a desire to provide an incredibly memorable experience in the heart of Appalachia. There’s only so much of a challenge people can get from running an average 5k, doing an obstacle race (where they know the obstacles of), or riding a Strava bike segment over and over again to get the best time. This race series promises to provide more: battles that participants didn’t even know were coming, things that they couldn’t plan for, and a full cultural emersion in Appalachia. They will do, see, eat, and drink all things Appalachian. Honestly, we don’t know what participants will remember more, the mountains they’ll have to climb, or the indulgences they’ll find while they’re here.”
