Forget the stop at Starbucks or the grinding routine at the local gym, the newest way to start your day hit Nashville in December-it’s called Daybreaker. Daybreaker is an early morning experience that starts with a yoga session and then a “dance with reckless abandon for two hours before work” fitness extravaganza. Daybreaker hit Nashville with their inaugural gig at the CMT awards, and they plan to stay, with another date scheduled for February.
Sessions start with Yoga at 6am then the dance party from 7am–9am, afterwards there’s free coffee, kombucha and breakfast bites. Plus, they try and showcase local new performers and musicians.
Nashville is their 22nd city, having started four years ago in New York. It costs from $15-30 a session and the more popular cities can have up to 400 participants. Taking place monthly at different venues such as Bars, Museums or even Libraries, the organizer’s belief is that such events bring people together, in a positive, non alcohol, non drug environment that helps people connect in ways that going to bars just can’t match. They claim that Daybreaker will “start your day with energy and intention”.
The venue for Nashville’s next Daybreaker experience will be announced soon. You can register and find out more by going to: www.daybreaker.com
