By Dermatology Associates
Dermatology Associates is proud to now offer our patients new technology treatments that provide a complete skin rejuvenation solution, enabling our providers to offer remarkable results. Listed below are some of the skin concerns that can be addressed.
Ready to lose your tattoo? Do it better and faster with PiQo4™! The PiQo4™ from Lumenis® encompasses both the Nano and Pico energies in one device. The combination of these energies yields better results than using solely either one of the technologies. This new technology targets both large and small tattoo particles at the same time, breaking them down into tiny particles that are naturally removed by your body. The laser only targets the ink, and will not harm the surrounding skin. It allows fast removal of tattoos, effectively shattering 9 of the most popular ink colors as well as hard to remove black ink. The PiQo4™ also has the largest spot size on the market, which yields results in faster and shorter sessions.
Wrinkles, Scarring, and Texture
The Lumenis® ResurFX™ is one of the newest non ablative laser technologies for addressing skin texture, wrinkles, and scarring. This treatment stimulates the production of new collagen and elastin fibers in the deeper layers of the skin. The laser procedure is often completed immediately following a photo facial IPL in a procedure called “Photofractional” rejuvenation. ResurFX™ is considered a strong competitive procedure to the Fraxel. Downtime is limited, with the skin typically pink for 1-2 days post treatment, and skin feeling slightly rough for 5-7 days post treatment.
Sun-induced Skin Damage
IPL Photofacial, or “photorejuvenation,” refers to the use of intense pulsed light (IPL) to treat conditions related to sun-induced skin damage. Lumenis IPL technology uses a broad spectrum of light which is primarily absorbed by melanin and oxyhemoglobin and is effective in reducing the appearance of sun spots, pigmentation, capillaries, elastosis and fine lines. The Lumenis IPL with OPT™ is considered the ‘Gold Standard’ in photorejuvenation treatments and its efficacy has been proven in over 80 peer reviewed physician papers.
Leg veins, spider veins and other visible benign vascular lesions are common aesthetic conditions for which patients seek treatment for both medical and cosmetic reasons. Lasers and other light based technologies enable effective treatment of leg veins and vascular lesions by inducing vessel collapse through coagulation with minimal damage to adjacent structures. The Lumenis IPL with OPT™ (Optimal Pulse Technology) is designed to treat vascular lesions up to 1.5 mm deep and up to 1 mm in diameter. The Multi-Spot Nd:YAG with Multiple Sequential Pulsing (MSP™) effectively treats vascular lesions up to 4.5 mm deep and with a diameter of up to 4 mm, such as leg veins. It may be used to treat all skin types safely and effectively.
The laser treatments listed above are available at our Johnson City location. Please contact us at (423) 928-9014 for more information on any of these treatments or to schedule a complimentary consultation.
