Healing with Foods discussed at latest NIH meeting

Nashville Integrative Health’s latest meeting featured talks by Virginia Harper, founder of You Can Heal You…One Meal at a Time, and Kindy Girdley, owner and founder of The Chic Pea Catering Company and an organic personal chef.

The topic this month was Healing with Foods. Virginia Harper has healed her own health crisis and helped many others heal their digestive issues with food. She was told that there is no cure for Crohn’s, Colitis, or IBS, and that you would be stuck with them for life. Virginia shared, “For seven years, doctors predicted my future and it wasn’t pretty.” After 9 months of changing to a macrobiotic diet, her blood work showed up good. She was able to say, “Now, I have the chance to rewrite my future, my health.”

As an organic personal chef, Kindy Girdley focuses on local and organic ingredients. At the NIH meeting she said, “Food is our fuel and we have to give it the fuel it needs.” She encourages her clients to listen to their own intuition.

The next meeting will be on Tuesday, November 14th. For more information or to RSVP, please contact them at nashvilleintegrativehealth@gmail.com
