When I was a young girl, I did ballet (a classical dance form demanding grace and precision). I heard that Barre was derived from ballet, I have been anxious to try it! it is a workout that will give you lean dancer muscles if you make the commitment and there is a ballet bar in the class but dancing is not required.
Sarah Moats (owner/instructor) recommends Pure Barre at least 3-4 days a week to obtain your goals. You can see results in just 10 days! I would describe Barre as a non impact, total body workout. The moves are isometric (strong but motionless action) which causes your muscles to shake, this is normal, .. BURN BABY BURN.. I would be lying if I said I wasn’t sore in a good way. The class is 55 minutes with focus on the trouble spots (hips, thighs, seat, abdominals and arms). This class is very modifiable, which is a great option for people with injuries or if you are pregnant.
Sarah has been teaching for over 5 years. She also owns Pure Barre White Bridge and Green Hills. Try a class for $15! They also offer a new client special, $100 for a month of unlimited classes!
