Those perpetual list builders at
Thrillist.com have picked on Nashville again and come up with this great list of things to do in Nashville “before you die.” We’ve just picked a random few of the more healthy ones.
Admire the skyline from E.S. Rose Park (check out the park near 12 South);
See a movie outdoors at Elmington Park (they play movies throughout the summer with a good mix of classics and new releases. It’s also a great opportunity to catch some of Nashville’s best food trucks); Get drinks at The Patterson House (this is by far the best way to experience the ‘20s);
See a show at the Ryman Auditorium and the Grand Ole Opry (you don’t have to be into country music for this one, it’s just a great night out); Drink from the birthday bowl at the Villager Tavern (if you visit this Hillsboro Village stalwart on your birthday and show your ID, they’ll give you the privilege of drinking a beer out of a dog bowl);
Go to the Nashville Zoo with a Backstage Pass (go during its annual Brew at the Zoo event for 100 craft beers plus cool, exotic animals); Have a picnic at Arrington Vineyards (it’s the closest place to get great vino while enjoying a picnic outside on beautiful property).
