The Nashville Food Project recipient of Sustainability awardLast month, Governor Bill Haslam and the Department of Environment Conservation Commissioner, Bob Martineau, presented The Nashville Food Project with this prestigious award that ‘rewards individuals and organizations for their efforts in helping to protect Nashville’s natural resources.’ The Nashville Food Project is an organization that strives to alleviate hunger throughout Nashville through its mission-based work that is centered around helping communities grow, cook and share food. Using sustainable, organic, and environmentally-friendly farming and food preparation processes, The Nashville Food Project owns and operates five garden sites throughout the area. www.thenashvillefoodproject.org
